Angels Landing is one of the most spectacular hikes in the country.  It is a tall rock formation that can be hiked along a fin or spine of rock.  The views are simply spectacular.

Old Rag, VA

Road to Grand Teton

First Episode of the Road to Grand Teton Video Log. The VLOG is about just getting to the point of being able to climb.
Second episode of the Road to Grand Teton VLOG. Today I give my shoulder a try 3-weeks after dislocating it and with only 2-weeks left before the climb.
Third Episode of Road to Grand Teton. Put on the weight vest and try the shoulder out doing laps on the climbing wall.

Why do I climb? I actually get asked this question often. Why when it is scary or dangerous would I go do this sport. Today I answer.
Leave in two days. In the 7th episode its time to go through the packing list and make sure I have everything for Grand Teton.
In the last episode before getting on a plane and leaving for Wyoming, I do a recovery workout and discuss the journey to get here and the journey of being on the mountain.

First day of Mountaineering training with Exum Guides. Mountaineering ONE is a required course to be able to climb the Grand Teton with Exum guides. Amy and Isaac Stuart join me in the course as we are taught the basics of mountaineering training from Exum Guide Jeff Dobronyi.

Defining success on a failed summit attempt of Grand Teton. It isn't about standing on the summit of Grand Teton. It's about trying to stand on the summit. There's a distinction. It's about family and watching a new passion grow. It's about nature.
You will have to watch to find out, but let's just say the adventure isn't over.
